They each offer their own pros and cons, but they canall be relied upon to keep your vehicle safe and secure. Overall, the official port parking offers a convenient location, but there are other options that may provide parking discounts or additional perks. This is a great option if you are cruisingwith most cruise lines, except of course for the Carnival lines which own theirown parking lot. The shuttles provide a comfortable way to arrive at the check-in location and return to the vehicle storage areas at the end of the cruise. The loyalty program offers a range of benefits for its members. These benefits include discounts, member-only functions, free drinks, and even free cruises. Cruise lines have implemented various protocols to limit the spread of COVID-19 on board.
The largest number of cases reported was on a Carnival ship, while Royal Caribbean reported fewer than 150 cases among over 500,000 passengers. With 75% of tracked ships having green status, it is evident that the new protocols have limited the spread of cases. Any cases found on ships are promptly isolated, further preventing transmission.
Whether you choose to drive yourself or use other transportation methods, parking facilities are available for your convenience. I recommend making a reservation for Park & Go because it saves money compared to parking at the port. Located near the airport, about 10 miles from the cruise port, Park & Go offers a daily rate of only $10 per day. The official port parking rates at Charleston are $21 per day for regular vehicles and $50 per day for campers and RVs.
The decline in non-green ships from August to September further supports the effectiveness of these protocols. This improvement can be attributed to the implementation of stricter cruise ship protocols and the long-term effects it has on the cruise industry. Overall, business-class seating offers a premium experience with its luxurious amenities and exquisite food and drink options. One important aspect to consider when choosing a parking option is the level of security measures in place.

The Port of Charleston has several parking options for travelers. With each passing day, the cruise ship industry is moving closer to a full recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. As case numbers continue to decline and protocols remain in place, post-pandemic cruising is becoming a reality. Passengers can have confidence in the industry’s track record during this period and look forward to enjoying the pleasures of cruising once again. One option is the official Port Parking, which offers shuttle availability for passengers.

They offer pet rooms,in case you want to bring your dog along, and they have rooms with double, queen, or king beds. All you need to do is to stay one night in a hotel, and you will get a free/discounted indoor parking space during your trip and shuttle bus service to the port. This secure parking structure is a great choice since you’ll save half of what you would pay for the official port parking. The Port of Charleston is definitely a pretty small port, and there are not many independent parking facilities in the area. However, there is one parking option – Park & Go – which is actually an airport parking lot that provides cheap cruise parking as well.
They offer real Carolina southern charm and an atmosphere to match. The point of a cruise is to relax, and finding parking last minute only to realize it will cost an extra $200 you had not budgeted for would not be the epitome of a good time. Follow this guide to find the best parking at the best rates, so you can plan ahead and enjoy your time. As you can see, there has been a steady increase in the number of green status ships throughout September, indicating zero cases on board.
